Brazilian airline launches new flight to Spain
Accessing Brazil by plane from Europe has been made easier this week, as VRG has announced the addition of an extra flight to the country.
The Latin American nation’s premium service airline will begin operating its tenth international route as part of its plan to reach out to a wider market.
Flights between Sao Paulo and Madrid have been introduced by the airline in light of Spain’s "continued expansion" in commercial and tourism related industries.
Lincoln Amano, VRG’s commercial director, said: "The Madrid route is an important step in our international expansion plan, and will provide VRG’s customers with an additional hub for service throughout Europe."
Currently the airline flies to Bogota, Colombia; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Caracas, Venezuela; Santiago, Chile; Frankfurt, Germany; London, England; Mexico City, Mexico; Paris, France; and Rome, Italy.
This week American Airlines announced that it is slashing the cost of flying to Brazil for its customers, on certain routes.
Its spring discounts mean US travellers can fly from Boston to Sao Paulo for $588 (£294) and from Chicago O’Hare to Rio de Janeiro for $667 (£388).
