Brazilian carnival ‘can be done on a budget’
Visitors and local Brazilian property owners do not have to push the boat out to have a good time at Rio’s Carnival, known as the ‘greatest show on earth’.
According to Lauren Smith, writing for Gringoes.com, the four-day event will have plenty of things going on, with visitors encouraged to see the Samba Parades and the Sambodromo dancing shows.
"You can also save vital beer money if you shop around before buying your ticket. Prices vary enormously from agent to agent. Typically tickets bought through third parties will cost you more as they have to pay a middle man," she advises.
Ms Smith added that Brazilian property owners can find entertainment in surrounding street parties, which will all be free to attend.
She commented that bars selling cheap beers will provide the liquid refreshment, while singers, bands, performers and samba music will give it that Brazilian feel.
Rio’s Carnival attracts around 500,000 foreign visitors every year, making it one of the biggest and most vibrant in the world.
