Brazilian property ‘better option than other emerging markets’

The Brazilian property market offers the best opportunities out of the Bic group, consisting of the South American country, India and China, according to an expert.

Obelisk Investment highlighted a recent Daily Mail article, which reported that emerging markets have come into their own in the past six months, particularly Brazil, India and China.

The newspaper’s piece commented on the economic growth experienced by these nations, which Obelisk said is good news for real estate investors.

"Buying property in Brazil is straightforward whereas investment in property in China and India is fraught with obstacles for the foreigner," the company stated.

It added that the price of buying luxury Brazilian property is much lower than other countries that are popular for real estate investment, saying that the South American nation represents the "future" for property buyers.

Brazilian property currently ranks second in the world for capital appreciation, according to figures from the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate.
