Brazilian property ‘great for a winter getaway’
Brazilian property has been named on a list of the top ten options for home exchange this winter, recommended as a great getaway location for the festive season.
Brits can get accommodation for as little as £69.99 by swapping their lodgings with another owner, according to HomeExchangeNow.co.uk, which compiled the top ten list of Christmas destinations.
"A winter home exchange getaway is a great recession-proof way to escape the British winter and exchange everything from homes to cars and boats," said Ed Kushins, president of the website.
South America was number eight on the company’s list of the best countries to find a house for trade, suggesting a property in Brazil as a particularly attractive option.
Scandinavia, Australia and Canada also featured among the recommendations, so those who already own a property in Brazil may want to swap with owners of accommodation in these countries.
Real estate expert Liam Bailey, writing for Overseas Property World, recently advised investors to carry out due diligence when buying off-plan property in Brazil, suggesting they check a developer’s track record and financial status.
