Brazilian property ideal place to invest in 2010
Latin America is the place to invest money in 2010, according to experts, which may lead to more people buying property in Brazil.
The Financial Times Adviser said that investors should opt for Latin America over Asia, saying equities in the region are more attractive and it has "robust economic fundamentals", while being 40 per cent cheaper than Asia.
Simona Paravani, global investment strategist at HSBC Global Asset Management, told the source: "Asia is a significant driver of commodity demand and the LatAm region is a commodities exporter. Sectors like materials and energy account for more than 45 per cent of the MSCI Latin America index."
This was backed up by the news that an emerging markets fund which recently won an award was largely invested in Brazil.
The Baillie Gifford Emerging Markets product, honoured by MoneyWise.co.uk, had 15.5 per cent of it backed in Brazil, highlighting it as an investment hotspot which could lead to people buying property in Brazil.
