Brazilian property investors to benefit from flight discounts?
Brazilian property investors could benefit from the government’s decision to eliminate the minimum international flight prices within the next year.
The country’s National Agency of Civil Aviation (ANAC) revealed that from next week, airlines will be able to offer discounts of up to 20 per cent on all domestic and international flights originating in Brazil.
In July, carriers will be able to give travellers savings of up to 50 per cent, rising to 80 per cent in October, potentially proving advantageous to Brazilian property investors.
Rebates remain optional and airlines will be able to decide whether to discount their airfares, ANAC said.
The new measures come after the minimum price on domestic flight prices was lifted last year.
Earlier this month, Brazilian airline TAM and UK carrier bmi entered into a codesharing agreement which expands the available services for passengers travelling between the two countries, including adding connecting flights from Sao Paulo.
