Brazilian property market exploration for advertising group
A technology advertising group is planning to buy Brazilian property in order to provide clients with their customer analysis tools.
The company has revealed that after its first-half of the year results, it has decided to pull out of the UK and is looking closely at entering Japan and Brazil.
Phorm’s technology allows companies to examine consumer’s online habits and therefore tailor their marketing and advertising to suit. It could allow Brazilian real estate providers to aim their marketing more specifically towards customer’s needs.
Sarah Simon, financial, strategic and policy development officer for the firm, said: "We would look to re-enter the UK market when we have a proven position. We regard the UK as a medium to long-term project."
The company also confirmed that it had hired a sales team from technology giant Microsoft and it is also in talks with internet service providers in more than 15 markets, including Brazil.
Another company looking to move into the Brazilian market recently was Vivendi, who offered £1.7 billion to buy telecom operator GVT. This would put them in a head-to-head fight with Telefonica to supply telecom solutions to Brazilian real estate owners.
