Brazilian property market ‘third most searched-for in June’
Brazilian property has come third in a list of the most searched-for real estate markets in June, demonstrating the continuing popularity of the country.
TheMoveChannel.com’s June Investment Property Watch report tracks the level of interest in certain real estate and countries based on visitors to the site, with Brazil coming behind surprise entry Sri Lanka last month.
According to the website, the World Cup could be the reason behind an upsurge in demand for Brazilian property.
The country is staging the tournament in 2014 and the host cities were named last month, which the website suggests may have already "kicked off new interest in its property sector".
Meanwhile, Joan Magee, writing for Dow Jones Newswires, reported recently that that the Brazil real estate sector is poised for revival as the country’s economy is recovering and demographics are favourable.
She said the fact that half of the population is under 25 and potentially in the market for homes is also boosting optimism in the sector.
