Brazilian property to be ‘a top seller in 2010′
A rapidly growing economy and rising affluence in the population could see Brazilian property being the top investment opportunity in the world in 2010, according to an industry expert.
David Cox, director of consultancy firm Property Frontiers, said that Brazilian property is the buzzword on the lips of everyone that he speaks to.
"When people respond to a newsletter on Slovakia, in which you have pointed out the country is one of the leading investments for 2010 to say ‘actually Brazil is the hotspot for 2010′. That is when you see the selling potential Brazil has this year," he added.
Mr Cox pointed out that the South American country emerged as a hot destination for private property investment in 2007, with 2008 also proving profitable.
He added that the blossoming economic situation, rapidly rising tourism sector and news that the country will host the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games has been a big boost to property in Brazil.
Cities and regions around the country will benefit from these sporting events, with Olympic Game host Rio set to undergo numerous infrastructure changes, including an enhanced bus and underground system.
