Brits ‘will take advantage of value-for-money Brazil’
More holidaymakers will be looking to travel to Brazil to take advantage of the current good value for money the country offers, an expert asserts.
Laura Rendell-Dunn, press and marketing executive with Journey Latin America, says: "People will be thinking: before things start improving with the economy and the prices of tickets start to increase, let’s take advantage of these good prices and travel now."
She adds that Brazil could see a bigger rise in tourism in 2009 because of this.
Ms Rendell-Dunn states that it makes sense for holidaymakers to choose the South American country for a vacation as the cost of living is cheaper than other places.
The reduction in airline prices is also encouraging travellers to choose Brazil, she asserts, as the cost of a ticket has reduced from around £700 in 2008 to £500 this year.
Recent research by VisitBritain reveals that the majority of British people do not intend to cut back on holidays and breaks.
