Credit crunch ‘encourages emigration’
The credit crunch is making an increasing number of people want to emigrate, it is being claimed.
People considering buying property in Brazil could be interested to hear property advice website BuyAssociation maintain the economic turmoil is convincing people it is the time to go overseas.
Paul Collins, property editor for the site, said moving abroad enables people to make their money go further as the cost of living is often quite a bit lower.
"If you are looking for a holiday home, if you are looking to emigrate and if you are looking for a long term investment now is a fantastic time to buy," he continued.
Research from HiFX suggests that record numbers of people want to emigrate.
According to the findings, the number of enquiries about emigration increased by 30 per cent in the first half of 2008 compared to the same time last year and the number of people actually emigrating has gone up by one tenth.
