Embraer sells jets to Brazilian govt
People considering buying property in Brazil could be interested to hear that a Brazilian aviation manufacturer has agreed to sell two new jets to the country’s government, highlighting the faith the country has in its own businesses.
Embraer announced yesterday it had signed a deal with the Brazilian government to supply the 190 jets for transporting personnel on official trips.
The jets will be custom-made for their special purposes and will be operated by the Special Transporation Group – a branch of the Brazilian Air Force.
Frederico Fleury Curado, the firm’s president and chief executive, said: "It will be an honour and a source of pride for all of Embraer’s employees to see our Embraer 190 flying in the colours of the federal republic of Brazil."
General Juniti Saito, the air force’s aeronautics commander, described Embraer as being a worldwide benchmark for the industry.
