Embraer unveils new jet
A Brazilian airline has unveiled its new jet plane.
Embraer rolled out its first Phenom 300 jet at its Gaviao Peixoto plant in Sao Paulo on Saturday.
Luís Carlos Affonso, executive vice president of executive at the company, said that the jet will "set a new standard" in the light plane category.
"We are thrilled to see the Phenom 300 become a reality," he added.
The company claims that the premium comfort aircraft is the best of its kind and has a low operating cost.
A series of ground tests are set to be conducted in preparation for its first flight.
Earlier this month, the company released a report revealing that its order backlog had increased by $1.5billion (£750 million) to a record of $20.3 billion.
The firm is the world’s fourth-largest aircraft manufacturer and produced 169 planes in 2007.
