Exchange programme helps woman invest in Brazilian property
A Swiss woman who visited South America on an exchange programme has invested in Brazilian property in Rio de Janeiro after "falling in love" with the country.
Jessica Mullins, who was born in Switzerland before moving to Spain and the US, told Gringoes.com that when she first arrived in Brazil she was amazed at how different it was from Europe, with the warmth of local people being a highlight.
She added that despite seeing plenty of places around the world, her time in Brazil has touched her so much that she does not miss any of her past abodes.
Recommending activities to prospective Brazilian property investors, Ms Mullins said: "I would absolutely recommend going to Buzios and renting a buggy and going to Belo Horizonte and hopping from boteco to boteco trying each place’s special petiscos."
Rio de Janeiro will see some major improvements to its infrastructure over the coming years as it prepares to host the final of the football World Cup in 2014 and the 2016 Olympic Games.
