Expert: Every area of Brazil is different
Those thinking of investing in Brazilian property will discover that one area of the country can be completely different to another, according to an industry expert.
Laura Rendell-Dunn, marketing manager at Journey Latin America, said that the culture in the north-east of Brazil is quite different to that in the south-east.
She stated that every area is "very unique" and extremely different from the next, with the people and food also changing in character.
"Brazil gets a lot of positive media attention. It’s known to be the country where the [image] of the people from Rio love to party and they’ve got that carnival atmosphere, and it’s also pretty well known for its beaches," the expert said.
Her comments came after research from the Post Office’s Travel Money Monitor showed a year-on-year increase of 350 per cent in sales of the country’s currency, possibly pointing towards more people looking for Brazilian property investment opportunities.
