Far-flung locations ‘becoming more popular’
Long-haul destinations such as Brazil are becoming more popular with tourists as the prices of flights to far-flung countries have lowered, according to an expert
.
Brazilian property investors may be interested to learn that Sean Tipton, spokesperson for ABTA – The Travel Association, says: "The cost of flying has come down drastically in the last 40 years so it is actually affordable now to fly long haul."
He asserts that while it used to be very expensive to travel to continents such as South America and a luxury that only the rich could afford, more and more people are able to journey to exotic locations.
Mr Tipton claims people enjoy trying out new countries, particularly outside of Europe and further afield, such as Brazil.
He adds that as a nation, British people are "well-travelled" and have been going abroad for 40 years now, meaning long-haul journeys are not considered out of the norm.
