Gisele launches Sao Paulo Fashion Week
Gisele Bundchen returned to her native Brazil to kick off Sao Paulo Fashion Week yesterday, Brazilian property investors may be interested to learn.
The presence of local girl Gisele, who took to the catwalk to show off Brazilian line Colcci, and British model Agyness Deyn, who strutted along the runway in Ellus clothing, could raise the profile of the city as a fashion centre.
Organisers of the event are hoping it will demonstrate the happiness of the Brazilian people.
Among the 29 shows from 37 local designers’ firms will be demonstrations from Alexandre Herchcovitch, Osklen, Cori and Maria Bonita.
Gisele is currently involved in a project called Agua Limpa, or Clean Water, which aims to protect water sources and implement strategies for managing a sustainable environment in Brazil.
"I started getting engaged when I realised how much nature had been degraded all over the world and amazed at the lack of awareness in this respect," writes Gisele in her blog.
