GM ‘driving Brazilian economy’
Brazil’s economy is being driven by the success of US car manufacturer General Motors (GM) in its efforts to deliver more environmentally-friendly transport, it has been claimed.
Brazzil Magazine has suggested that the growing development of eco-friendly cars in the country through biofuel has turned GM into a "thriving powerhouse operation" in Brazil, despite the automakers well-documented troubles in the US.
"Its fuel-efficient vehicles are playing a crucial role in returning the battered company to health," the magazine reports.
People with Brazilian property will note that the car manufacturer’s success is a useful boost to the country’s economy, which has suffered the same as many other countries around the world during the global financial crisis of the past year.
However, the Brazilian economy is looking up at the moment, with recent figures showing Brazil car sales increased by a massive 21.5 per cent last month.
Meanwhile, Brazilian property may also be on the up, as Bloomberg reports that the country is believed to be heading out of recession.
