Land acquisition laws ’should not put people off Brazil real estate’

Those looking to buy property in Brazil should not be intimidated by the country’s laws on land acquisition, an expert has claimed.

Felipe Cavalcante, president of the Association for Real Estate and Tourism Development, has told News Fire that investors are becoming increasingly willing to invest in land in Brazil.

Dale Anderson, property consultant, has advised those looking at buying Brazilian property to invest in land that offers great investment returns rather than that which has the lowest price.

He added: "Make sure that the land you buy is easy to get to, with high demand for lodging from local and foreign tourists."

Mr Anderson also said that those investors who do not want to have to travel to close the deal can simply operate through a lawyer and this will enable their agent to sort out the arrangements on their behalf.

Earlier this month, A Place in the Sun Magazine editor Richard Way claimed that those looking to buy property in Brazil should consider the lifestyle changes they will be able to make as a result.
