Life should be given a test drive in Brazilian property
Those interested in investing in Brazilian property have been told to spend some time in the country before moving abroad.
Rhiannon Davies, director of ShelterOffshore.com, said that taking a trial run is the key to making sure that a move to overseas property is a success.
"Our advice would be to spend time living in a country on a tourist visa before committing to relocating there," she stated.
Ms Davies went on to say that many homebuyers often commit to moving abroad without knowing what to expect from their new destination, however, this can be overcome by renting a property before making a purchase.
Her words were recently backed up by a report from Shelter Offshore, which said that it was important to go on a recce and research the practicalities associated with the relocation.
"Only then can you be sure that the country is all you hope it can be – because anywhere can look lovely when the sun is shining and the streets are buzzing with happy people," it added.
