Brazil Property News: AIPP speaks at conference in Brazil

13th September 2007 09:56

The Association of International Property Professionals (AIPP) has spoken about the needs of British and Irish property developers in Brazil.

At the ADIT Nordeste Invest 07 conference in Salvador, the AIPP gave a presentation to agents, developers and government officials about the needs of property buyers in Brazil, following recognition that the country is rapidly becoming a talking point in the property world.

Paul Owen of the AIPP gave an overview of the British investment property market and highlighted the benefits of working with AIPP members.

Mr Owen said: "Companies have already been vetted by us, they have signed up to industry standard training and they have voluntarily committed themselves to a professional Code of Conduct."

UK property agents at the event also made it clear that Brazilian developers need to continue to focus on whether they are attracting "the investment buyer" or the "holiday home buyer" and cater for their specific needs.

Also at the conference, which had 180 people in attendance, was the Brazilian ambassador to Ireland who urged local governments and developers to continue their negotiations with airlines to provide better aviation links between Europe and Brazil.
