Brazil Property News: Agfa Graphics expand investment in Brazil

6th June 2008 07:00

A European technology firm is set to invest €15 million (£11.9 million) in its Brazilian manufacturing site, it has been reported.

Forbes reports that Agfa Graphics has announced it is to expand its Suzano site in order to meet a "growing demand in Latin America".

People considering buying property in Brazil could be interested to hear the news which suggests the company could recruit more staff for the expansion.

Stefaan Vanhooren, the firm's president, said: "With this programme we address the growing business potential of the printing market in Latin America and it is a crucial investment to further strengthen our market leadership position in this region."

Meanwhile, it has reported by the ANBA last week that Brazil's state-owned oil giant, Petrobras, plans to build at least one more refinery in the country to take advantage of the large volumes of oil it has recently discovered in the pre-salt layer.
