Brazilian Property could benefit from its government's lessons in eco-tourism from New Zealand, it has been reported.
A deal has been signed between the two nations that will lead to cooperation in the management, research and protection of natural protected areas, according to the Brazzil Magazine.
New Zealand's conservation minister Steve Chadwick is quoted by the publication as saying the greater understanding of conservation issues facing both countries will be used to a positive effect on the world stage.
"Brazil is interested in how New Zealand balances commercial use with the conservation of protected areas - managing conservation values in this way is relatively new to Brazil, but something they are really committed to," he added.
The deal was signed by Mr Chadwick on behalf of New Zealand and foreign minister Celso Amorim for the Latin American nation.
It will result in youngsters from both countries being able travel between the countries to holiday, study and work.
The Lonely Planet travel guide describes New Zealand as country of "rare seismic" beauty.
