14th July 2008 04:36

Brazil and South Africa have linked up to share experiences on the route to hosting the World Cup tournaments.

Embratur - the Brazilian tourism ministry - revealed it has also been discussing the opportunities ahead of the tournament in 2014.

It met with representatives from the African province of Gauteng and Fifa contractor - AC Match Services - who is providing accommodation and logistical support for the African Cup.

Luiz Barretto, minister of tourism, said infrastructural investments will be directed at specific needs.

The tourism ministry is already working at the qualification and training of people working in the cities set to benefit from increased tourism, he added.

Those considering buying property in Brazil could be interested to hear that the nation's infrastructure is set to be improved for the event.

In other Brazil real estate boosting news, it was reported by ANBA last week that the nation's Civil Aviation Agency revealed a 40 per cent boom in the number of passengers taking flights to and from the nation.
