Brazil Property News: Brazil attracts broad range of visitors

6th November 2007 04:16

Brazil is attracting a "broader" range of holidaymakers than previously, according to new reports.

British newspaper The Sun has claimed that the Latin American country, which was previously a backpackers'-favourite, is now attracting more regular holidaymakers seeking a vacation in sunny and attractive destinations.

The paper highlighted many of the country's attributes including its hot weather and deserted beaches as major tourist attractions.

Brazil's aviation industry has also taken steps forward over the past year to accommodate the rise in foreign tourists coming into the country.

Low-cost airline Gol announced this week that it, together with partner airline Varig, now has one hundred aircraft in its fleet after the delivery of its Boeing 737-800 SFP.

Fernando Rockert de Magalhaes, Gol's vice president, said: "Our main concern is providing customers with a high-quality, safe way to travel throughout Brazil, South America and, with the addition of Varig, new markets in Europe and North America."

Gol has also announced plans to add twelve more aircraft to its fleet by 2008.
