Brazil Property News: Brazil banks on Embraer's 'luxury business jets'

Aircraft manufacturer Embraer has spoken out this week about its success over the last year and the huge number of jet orders it has to complete for customers all over the world.
Speaking to Reuters, which says that Embraer "symbolises" Brazil's economic transformation, the firm's chief executive described how it will maintain its world-leading position in the aircraft manufacturing sector.
Luis Carlos Affonso, who heads Embraer's executive jet division, said: "The executive jet has gone from being viewed as a luxury to a crucial business tool in a globalised world.
"In commercial aviation the name of the game is low operating costs, so we've learned to make planes efficiently."
He added that the firm knows it's "going to be a challenge" to meet all the orders it has taken, but it is a challenge that Embraer feels it has prepared itself for carefully.
Yesterday Brazilian airline VRG announced that it will begin operating a new flight route between Madrid and Sao Paulo this spring, in a bid to expand its flight portfolio.
The addition of the flight may be good news for property investors in the Latin American nation, as it will make travelling from Europe to Brazil easier.
