Brazil is expecting its "largest crop ever" say experts this week.
Led by soy, corn and rice production, Brazil's agricultural producers should harvest a crop 3.1 per cent larger than that of 2006 making it their largest crop ever.
The forecast was made by the minister of agriculture, livestock and supply in Brazil, Reinhold Stephanes, based on the fourth survey of agricultural production, conducted in December 2007 by the National Food Supply Company.
He warned, cautiously, that the outcome would depend on weather conditions over the next four weeks, reports Brazzil Mag.
Mr Stephanes added that soy remains the leading grain, with an estimated production of 58.2 million tonnes, followed by corn at 53.4 million tonnes and then rice at 11.9 million tonnes.
It was also announced that total Brazilian coffee production should range from between 41,400 to 44,200 kilogram bags of processed coffee.
Economic growth and stability in Brazil may be good news for property investors in Brazil as rental yields could increase as a result.
