Brazil Real Estate developers are extremely conscious of the sustainability of new buildings as the environment is a hot topic in the country, according to an expert.
Samantha Gore, sales and marketing director at Brazilian Property specialist uv10.com, says that green issues are increasingly influencing buying decisions as people become more conscious of their impact of the environment.
She refers to Brazilian Property development Natal Ocean Club Resort & Spa, which is satisfying both the eco-conscious and real estate investors.
The firm behind the complex has ensured that none of the wood used in the construction comes from an unauthorised source such as the Amazon.
"You have to admire their enormously high environmental standards as green initiatives often incur high up-front costs," Ms Gore says.
Meanwhile, Brazilian president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva this week unveiled a new scheme to reduce deforestation in the Amazon which aims to regulate land ownership and protect the rainforest.
When it comes to property investment, the early bird really does catch the worm.
