Brazil Property News: Brazil 'stronger after crisis'

15th December 2008 11:55

The Brazilian government feels the nation will walk away from the global financial crisis stronger, it has been reported.

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's chief of staff Dilma Rousseff claims the country has all the instruments to face the crisis and survive the meltdown, according to Brazzil Magazine.

Those considering buying property for sale in Brazil could be interested by the news which suggests the nation's economy will not be as affected as other nations.

"We are going to leave stronger than we came in. This time, we have instruments, weapons and, most of all, the route and the answer. We have built the government's capacity to react in the face of the crisis," she told a national meeting of mayors elected through Lula's Worker's Party.

Meanwhile, the Associated Press reported last week that China had offered Brazilian state-owned oil firm Petrobras a $10 billion (£6.75 billion) loan for future exploration.
