The Brazilian tourism board (Embratur) has been trading secrets with neighbour Argentina in a bid to further boost the nation's sector, which is something that could benefit Brazilian property.

During the meeting Embratur's director of business and events tourism, Marcelo Perdoso, spoke about the main strategies the body employs that have contributed to the nation being the Latin American market leader.

Mr Pedrosa expressed the importance of taking advantage of the visit of tourists during events to offer alternative itineraries and services to extend their stay in the country.

The two nations struck a deal to cooperate and share information from their fields of expertise .

Mr Pedroso concluded: "The associations intend to outline a work plan, with a feasible actions timetable. That is an important step towards integrating the Latin America [as a tourist attraction], thus making it even more noticeable in the global setting."

According to the International Congress and Convention Association, Brazil is the eight biggest event hosting country in the world and the leader in the Latin American region.

Meanwhile, Agencia Brasil reported this month figures released by General Register of Employees and Unemployed show employment in the nation is booming.
