Brazil Property News: Brazil to attend renewables forum

23rd October 2008 04:18

People considering Brazilian real estate could be interested to hear the strong dollar is being described as a silver lining for the nation's agriculture sector, it has been reported.

Eugenio Stefanello, who is a technician at the National Food Supply Company (Conab), claims the market has been less hit compared to other sectors in the economy, according to Brazzil Magazine.

Mr Stefanello, who is also a rural economics professor at the Federal University of Parana, is quoted by the publication telling the Brazil Arab News Agency that the agriculture sector exports more to other countries than it imports from abroad.

"In 2009 … exports should grow more, due to the reduction of the Gross Domestic Product of Brazil and to global trade. And the prices of commodities should be smaller due to the reduction of the speculative content of funds over prices," he added.

Meanwhile, Brazilian property investors could be interested to hear that Microsoft is offering millions of Sao Paulo residents free IT training, according to the publication.
