Brazil Property News: Brazil 'top medical tourist destination'

Brazil has been named one of the world's top medical tourist destinations by an investment publication.
Second only to Panama, Brazil topped New Wire Investor's list based on quality and affordability of care as well as receptiveness to foreign investment.
The publication said: "Brazil has become an international mecca for cosmetic and plastic surgeries.
"Its road to fame in medical tourism began with Ivo Pitanguy, the world-renowned plastic surgeon who opened a clinic outside of Rio de Janeiro more than 40 years ago."
After the US, Brazil has the largest plastic surgery market in the world.
It also offers other types of medical tourism and the publication said the country's largest city, Sao Paulo, has some of the world's best-equipped hospitals.
The promotion of the nation as a top tourist location may be good news for those thinking of buying property in Brazil, as medical tourists may need accommodation to rent during their stay.
Jim O'Neill of Goldman Sachs predicts Brazil to become one of the world's most dominant economies in the future.
