Brazil Property News: Brazilian airline expands fleet

25th June 2008 04:14

A Brazilian airline is expanding its fleet and has agreed to buy five new jets.

TRIP Linhas Aereas has ordered five 175 jets from Brazilian aviation manufacturer Embraer.

People looking at property for sale in Brazil could be interested to hear about the deal which suggests a possible boost for tourism in the country.

Jose Mario Caprioli, founder and president of the airline, said: "We are proud of the fact that the jet is made in Brazil and that we can collaborate in integrating the Brazilian commercial aviation system."

Embraer recently signed the Air Transport Action Group's Summit Declaration, which commits the organisation to conduct all lines of its business transparently.

Meanwhile, the firm announced earlier this month it had signed a deal with the Brazilian government to supply two new jets for the transportation of official personnel trips.

It is the world's fourth-largest aircraft manufacturer and produced 169 planes in 2007.
