Brazil Property News: Brazilian airline forms Australasian partnership

25th September 2007 04:23

Australasian travel operator BFirst Travel has formed an alliance with Gol Airlines.

From this month BFirst Travel, a Sydney-based tour operator specialising in Latin American holidays, will be the first Australasian travel agent to sell Gol Airlines tickets.

The tour operator chose to partner with Gol due to its attention to detail, such as offering in-flight meals, and said in a statement that it considers the airline to have the "most modern and sophisticated fleet in Brazil".

"The staff are young, energetic, eager to please, well-trained and have a natural talent for working with people on a daily basis," the company added.

Gol began in 2001, flying to seven destinations with just six planes. By 2011 the airline aims to have 101 aircraft and offer one of the most extensive flight networks in South America.

The airline’s market share is now just a small margin behind its Brazilian rival TAM Linhas Aereas airlines.
