Those looking at property for sale in Brazil could be interested to hear the nation's Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply claims the country will dominate the global trade of agricultural products for the next decade, it has been reported.

According to the Brazil Arab News Agency, the ministry's report - entitled Brazilian Agribusiness Forecasts 2008/2009 and 2018/2019 - shows the nation's beef exports should account for nearly two-thirds (60.6 per cent) of the global total in 2018.

It adds that the figure currently stands at 31 per cent while the nation accounts for 44.6 per cent of the world's chicken exports, which is forecasted to rise to 89.7 per cent in ten years time.

The ministry predicts that sugar exports should rise from 58.4 to 74.3 per cent while soy oil sales could go from 63 to 73.5 per cent.

Jose Garcia Gasques, the study's author told the news provider: "As these sectors have greatly increased their productivity and are generating competitive prices, they push out of the way other suppliers."

Meanwhile, it was reported by the Economic Times that the Brazilian property market is ideal for investment.
