Brazil Property News: Brazilian business association meets west coast

One of Brazil's leading business associations will meet a selection of entrepreneurs and politicians in America's west coast next month.
The trade mission, which will visit Sacramento, Los Angeles and Seattle from September 30th to October 6th, will allow government members, local civil leaders and business representatives to improve trading relations between Brazil and America.
Previously, the US and the Federation of Industries of the state of Sao Paulo (FIESP) declared 2007 a year of increased two-way trade between the Brazilian city and the American west coast and this meeting will focus on achieving that goal.
Exchanges between the two will focus primarily on clean energy sectors, such as biofuels and ethanol, as well as health, biotechnology, aerospace and IT.
FIESP's head of international relations, Roberto Giannetti da Fonseca, said: "Since the Seattle trade mission to Brazil last October, business interest has continued to grow at an increasing pace.
"We all share an interest in sustainable growth and solutions to global problems," he added.
The summit comes shortly after President Lula's recent visit to Scandinavian during which he promoted Brazil's biofuel industry. This was considered of particular interest to Sweden which aims to switch all vehicles to biofuel by 2020.
