Brazil Property News: Brazilian flight numbers boom

11th July 2008 04:13

The number passengers on Brazilian operated flights during the first half of this year has boomed by 40 per cent according to official figures, it has been reported.

Data supplied by the nation's Civil Aviation Agency (Anac) revealed the increase of passengers on international routes in 2008 compared to the same period last year, according to the ANBA.

Anac said Varig was the firm to show the most growth as it boasts some 118.9 per cent of expansion while TAM still remains the sector's leader with 70.59 per cent of market share - up from 67.88 per cent last year.

Those looking at property for sale in Brazil could be interested to hear Brazil's international flights are enjoying booming performances as it hints that more people are visiting the country and may be looking for Brazilian property to stay in.

Meanwhile, in other news it was reported by Brazzil magazine last month that some £12.5 million of investment will be spent on revamping Rio's roads before the 2014 World Cup.
