Brazil Property News: Brazilian property owners 'to see economic growth in 2010'

20th November 2009 11:48

Brazilian Property owners will experience robust growth of the country's economy in 2010 and 2011, according to a new report.

The Organisation for Economic and Development Cooperation (OEDC) has predicted that the country will see growth of around 4.5 per cent, performing better than other nations.

A report from the organisation predicted that there will be no expansion his year, but that Brazilian Property owners will see better performance in the next two years.

It also suggested that next year "the government could begin to roll back budget incentives as the economy consolidates".

The predictions are an improvement on earlier ones, which estimated 0.8 per cent growth in 2009 and four per cent in 2010.

It highlights the improvements Brazil is making compared to other countries, with the OEDC predicting just 1.9 per cent growth in the 30 member countries, including the US and UK.

Earlier this year, the organisation stated that the composite leading indicators for Brazil have increased by 0.4 points in September, showing signs of recovery.
