Brazil Property News: Brazilian tourist board on roadshow in France

9th October 2007 10:58

The Brazilian tourist board has returned from a French roadshow to promote tourism in the country.

Embratur visited the French cities of Lyon, Nice, Toulouse and Bordeaux, giving presentations about the tourist potential of the Latin American county.

Representatives from Embratur also gave a round of business talks to make companies in the area aware of Brazil's economic potential.

Embratur said of the tour: "In France, participation was open to operators that market Brazilian destination and airline companies."

The roadshow coincided with Air France's announcement this month that it has formed an alliance with low-cost Brazilian airline, Gol, which will allow it to sell the company's flight tickets for all of the 58 destinations it serves throughout South America.

Air France's passengers will also be able to buy Gol tickets onboard flights and have the added benefit of Air France checking their luggage onto their next flight.

Brazilian airline VRG has also announced a new flight route between Sao Paulo and London this month, improving access between the Latin American country and Europe.
