Brazil Property News: Brazilians 'confident' during crisis

18th December 2008 11:53

More than half of Brazilians do not expect the global economic crisis to spill into the Latin American country, it has been reported.

The news might interest Brazilian property investors because it hints at people's confidence in the nations economic strength.

According to the National Confederation of Industries (CNI), 56 per cent of the population thinks the country will only be affected a little or not at all.

However, 84 per cent of those polled did suggest that the global crisis had either reached a serious or very serious level.

More than two-fifths (43 per cent) believed the country was more prepared for the crisis than it has been for previous situations in the past and more than two-thirds (68 per cent) claim this situation is more serious than others.

In other news, the Brazil Arab News Agency reported this week that a trip organised by the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade will lead a delegation of Brazilian businesses to North Africa to strike up trade deals.
