Brazil Property News: Brazil's motor industry is booming

8th May 2008 04:34

Brazil's automobile market is booming, according to new figures from the National Federation of Motor Vehicle Distributors (Fenabrave).

Fenabrave revealed in a new report that the nation's motor industry posted growth of nearly one-third (29.33 per cent) in sales of light vehicles for the first quarter of 2008 compared to the same period last year, Brazzil Mag reports.

It announced that trade met 1.54 million vehicles between January and April compared to 1.19 million in 2007.

People considering buying property in Brazil could be interested to hear the news that suggests the nation's level of disposable income is growing.

Sérgio Reze, the chairman of Fenabrave, told the publication: "The result shows that consumers continue trusting the economy of Brazil, taking on engagements like vehicle financing."

Meanwhile, last week President Lulu announced that he believed the country would see a flood of foreign investment.
