18th June 2008 07:00

Foreign real estate investors should consider South America, one expert has said.

Global property service provider Savills highlighted the region as a location which offers good investment opportunities.

Ian Bailey, the firm's head of rural research, said when it comes to land, a lot of people are investing in Latin America and it is definitely a place worth looking at.

"We have a lot of interest in South America, in Brazil and places," he added.

According to the firm, land in Brazil is among the cheapest productive property available in the world.

Meanwhile, Easier Property revealed earlier in the month the highest rewards can be found through Brazil's off-plan property.

According to the website, developments such as Sol do Atlantico Resort and Spa in the north-east offers great investment opportunities as well as picturesque coastal views of the Atlantic.

In other news, KPMG revealed this week that Brazilian property offered "dynamic customer growth opportunities".
