Those considering buying property for sale in Brazil could be interested to hear the nation's wages are higher for those who study, it has been reported.

A study released by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) suggests for every year of studies boosts a worker's salary by 15 per cent, according to Agencia Brasil.

The FGV Job Market study claims a worker who has three degrees would enjoy a wage that is 47 per cent higher than someone with none.

"Brazil is one of the countries in the world that presents the greatest return of education," FGV researcher Marcelo Neri told the news agency.

Meanwhile, in other news it has been claimed by property website BuyAssociation that the credit crunch is causing an increasing number of people to think about emigrating.

Paul Collins, property editor for the site, said moving abroad enables people to make their money go further as the cost of living is often quite a bit lower.
