Brazil Property News: Embraer sign deal with Chinese

28th August 2008 07:00

One Brazilian aviation manufacturer has signed (add ‘a’) service contract with China's Kun Peng airlines.

Embraer will act to simplify the spare parts chain of the Asian country's newest E-jets operator.

It has agreed to a five-year Embraer Collaborative Inventory Parts (ECIP) contract with the Latin American firm, which could interest those looking at property for sale in Brazil as it hints at further economic resilience in the nation.

A company statement said the ECIP programme monitors customers' parts usage and guarantees automatic stock replenishment which should shorten delivery times for replacement pieces and establishing a baseline for carriers to improve cost management.

Han Dexing, vice-president of safety and maintenance for Kun Peng Airlines, said: "We are looking forward to being covered by more Embraer service programs, and we firmly believe that due to the sound cooperation between both parties, the future operation of our Embraer 190 [airplane] will be very good."

Meanwhile, the Brazilian organisation signed a similar long-term deal with Mexican airline Aeromexico last week.
