Those considering property for sale in Brazil could be interested to hear employment in the Latin American nation's industry has enjoyed record growth, it has been reported.

New Industrial Research Monthly Employment and Wage data released by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) found employment in the sector grew by 0.5 per cent in June, according to Agencia Brasil.

This put the first half growth in industry at 2.7 per cent for 2008 - a record since the figures started to be recorded in 2002.

According to the IBGE's findings, growth of 0.2 per cent in the amount of payment received for workers was also recorded.

It was reported earlier in the year by Reuters that the South American nation's unemployment level was at its lowest level for the month of May for six years, which is something that could benefit Brazilian property due to more people being in work.
