Ireland's minister for international trade revealed yesterday that he would lead a contingent of Irish businesses on a trade mission to Brazil, it has been reported.

John McGuinness will lead 42 organisations on the assignment that aims to establish long-term business opportunities in the Latin American country, according to the country's 'exec' publication.

People considering buying property in Brazil could be interested to hear a number of Irish firms are keen to invest in the nation.

Enterprise Ireland's director of the Americas, Tom Cusack said: "The appetite for Irish innovation remains strong and Enterprise Ireland is committed to tapping the long-term market opportunities for Irish companies by helping them forge strong business ties in Brazil."

The trade mission began on Monday and will continue until this Friday (May 30th).

Meanwhile it was revealed earlier in the month that Brazil had attracted the most foreign direct investment of all the Latin American countries last year
