A motor manufacturing giant has posted record sales in the Brazilian market, it has been reported.
Mercedes-Benz announced it had sold 1,010 heavy lorries in Brazil last month compared to its previous record of 865 units in April, according to ANBA.
Up until the end of May, its sales in the sector were up by more than half for the same period last year, at 4,300 units.
The firm added that overall sales of lorries represented a share of more than one-third of the domestic market.
People considering buying property in Brazil could be interested to hear that Mercedes-Benz is enjoying such prosperity in the nation as it hints at economic buoyancy in the nation.
Meanwhile, it was reported by the Central Bank of Brazil last month that foreign direct investment for the first four months of 2008 had shown a rise of more than one-quarter.
