Brazil Property News: More potential 'to make money' on overseas property

There is more potential to make money in foreign property markets than there is the UK, according to industry experts.
BuyAssociation, an independent property website offering impartial advice, claims that capital growth and rental yields are more favourable in foreign markets than in the UK.
Consequently, more property investors from the UK are seeking opportunities in far-flung destinations as British newspaper, the Sunday Mirror, highlighted when it named Brazil one of the top six places to invest in the UK last month.
Paul Collins, overseas property editor of BuyAssociation, said: "When people are buying property now they want it to make some money for them. And the opportunities for that are much more extensive overseas than they are in the UK."
The AIPP's first annual report on the international property market estimated that in 2006 nearly £20 billion was spent by UK buyers overseas, with the average price of a British-owned property costing £98,166.67.
Investment in Brazil has been made easier in recent months with the addition of flight routes from the Middle East and Europe.
Last week VRG airlines announced that it will begin a new direct flight link between Sao Paulo and London from October 28th.
