Property in Brazil looks set for another surge in interest, after officials in the Latin American nation announced plans to boost electricity production.
According to Reuters, mines and energy minister Edison Lobao told reporters in Sao Paulo the government is to commission three new nuclear plants over the next year.
The plants will be located principally in Brazil's north-east and also in the centre-south of the country - both popular destinations for Brazil real estate investors.
"We are projecting three more nuclear power plants that should be licensed within one year or slightly more," remarked Mr Lobao.
"Angra 3, which we are building now, will be 1,300 megawatts. The size of the others has not been defined," he added.
While private-sector participation in the plants is being considered, state-run firm Eletrobras will remain the government's majority shareholder, noted the minister.
Brazil has proved to be a business hotspot of late, with a report released by the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service last month indicating that "innovation" among firms is currently doubling profits and expanding production volume significantly.
When it comes to property investment, the early bird really does catch the worm.
