Brazil Property News: Natal is "top market" for property investment

6th March 2008 01:05

Those considering buying property in Brazil may be interested to know that the north-eastern city of Natal has been tipped as a "top market" for property investment this week.

Deanne DuKhan, portfolio strategist for Experience International, told NuWire Investor: "Our research has pointed to [Natal] as potentially one of the top performing markets for direct property investment in 2008.

"The market [in Natal has been] driven by both domestic and foreign demand, a combination [that] is likely to ensure a constant stream of income from capital inflows."

She added that a major international airport is planned for Natal that is expected to be the largest airport in Latin America and one of the seven largest in the world.

Once this airport is operational, DuKahn expects a "dramatic rise" in tourist numbers to the region.

Earlier this month, independent property expert Amberlamb tipped Brazil as a highly-profitably property investment location.

Amberlamb said that recent economic indicators and financial opinion have shown that the Brazilian economy is holding its own against the US economic downturn, making it a good place to invest.
